All personal services fees are based on a formula that accounts for your income and the number of people you provide for in your household.

Very simply, I'm guided by the principle of equity in my practice of law and the associated fees. The traditional view on legal fees says that while everyone is deserving of outstanding legal representation and access to the courts, some people must pay a higher percentage of their income for that right because...that's the way it is.

I turn that concept upside down. I calculate fees based on a formula that accounts for a living wage and real world expenses intended for all people to pay a similar percentage of their disposable income toward any applicable legal fees.

Some experts call this low bono or sliding-scale fees. What it is not is charity or pro bono.
